"Sam is the most effective driver coach I have worked with and has assisted me to an LMP2 Class Win at the 2007 Le Mans 24. He achieves results through his precise understanding of how a car moves under the drivers bottom, a very detailed knowledge of every significant track in Europe and many in the USA and great personal communications skills. As a result of his extensive personal racing achievements and understanding you can debate with him until you get to a point of real understanding - and that’s what it is all about." Allen Timpany, Winner 2007 Le Mans 24 Hours LMP2.
"When my wife bought me a track day with Sam I never expected it could lead to driving a prototype at Le Mans, let alone winning a round of the World Endurance Championship. My only previous experience of driving a car around a track ended when I was 12 years old and sold my Scalextric set. The quality of coaching, attention to detail and sheer excitement that was built into that first day led me to commit myself to an intensive driver training programme which has seen me compete in 22 races in my first ever season, taking several podiums, fastest laps, pole positions and even a win on my first weekend’s racing! This was all down to the incredible knowledge, endless enthusiasm and patience shown by Sam over the past couple of years as my coach. Sam has made sure that at each race, training day and test all I had to do was to get in the car and drive. Along the way I’ve also met some incredible people and been “backstage” at a number of major events including Le Mans and a couple of Grands Prix – all thanks to Sam. I cannot recommend him highly enough to anyone with an interest and a passion for motor racing." Simon Dolan, Le Mans 24h Winner LMP2, multiple winner European Le Mans Series, race winner World Endurance Championship.
"I was impressed by Sam from the very start. His soft-spoken yet enthusiastic coaching style inspires much confidence and provides great motivation. Over a short period of time, both my driving skills and my enjoyment of the whole racing experience were dramatically improved. Be it modern or historic racing, Sam has always anticipated my every question and need, making sure that I was well looked after by the team and that my car had the best possible set-up." Gisella Ketvel, Lotus Cup & historic racer.

Just a year later, Jota Sport had taken class wins in the Spa 24hrs and a round of the FIA World Endurance Championship. Indeed Jota Sport is now Jota 'Group' and comprises a specialist racing division, design and engineering division, historic and private client division and even a private airline.

In doing so he has proved highly adept in a wide variety of machinery and has been called upon for set-up assistance, development driving and co-driving.
Multiple car owners have seen significant returns on their comparatively small investment in Sam thanks to his results helping the cars appreciate in value and recognition.

" I have been working together with Sam Hancock since March 2010. Starting with comprehensive driver coaching in 2010, Sam became my coach and co-driver for the racing seasons 2011 and 2012. Sam also drove some of my historic cars at important, prestigious racing events such as Le Mans Classic or the Goodwood Revival.
Sam's approach to driver coaching is most professional, thought-trough and profound. Sam not only possesses incredible driving skills but has the rare combination of these coupled with highest analytical skills and a ability to explain even subtle issues of driving. Sam will pick up even small issues while being on the passenger seat or analysing data graphs, and will then discuss these with you and point you into the right direction to correct these.
In his coaching, he understands the necessity to focus and set priorities. His friendly, positive attitude are of great help and make his driver coaching thoroughly enjoyable.
Sharing the cars during the race season of 2011/12 combined the coaching of Sam with the possibility to work with a true pro on the race track and everything surrounding racing. Sam's input and support extended far beyond driver coaching and benefited almost every aspect of race preparation, race support, pit strategy, logistics and much more. Also here, working with Sam has been most enjoyable and he was very much liked by all team members and mechanics alike.
Sam's performance when driving my historic cars was spectacular and the cars never have been going faster before. However, despite being fast, Sam's driving was characterized by a very high degree of mechanical sympathy, respect for these important, historic cars and caution. He has been a very safe pair of hands and his debrief was revealing and most helpful for the mechanics supporting these cars.
All in all, it has been a privilege and great pleasure to work together with Sam and I hope that our relation will long last. I certainly can recommend the services of Sam without any hint of reservation."
Stefan Ziegler. Küsnacht, Switzerland, December 2012
