Consultancy & Management

Twenty five years ago, Sam Hancock contested his first ever motor race at a local karting circuit. Numerous wins, one championship title and seven Le Mans 24hr participations since, Sam has amassed an immense amount of industry experience, an extensive network of contacts and a strong reputation as a respected professional.

Alongside his driving duties, Sam has been a valued consultant to race teams, historic preparers, corporate sponsors, young aspiring drivers, their families and amateur, gentleman racers alike.

Be it as a consultant, manager, strategist, coach or confidant, all have benefited from his input which has helped them maximise their results and return on investment from a sport which can be littered with expensive potholes.

Case Study 1: Jota Sport
Among many notable projects to date, Sam helped entrepreneur and amateur driver, Simon Dolan, co-found the Jota Sport racing team in 2008. Within the first 12 months Jota had finished 2nd in the Porsche Carrera Cup GB; within 24 months had won multiple Radical and Speed series and VdeV races; and within just four years, was on the grid at Le Mans as an official Aston Martin Racing partner team. Just a year later, Jota Sport had taken class wins in the Spa 24hrs and a round of the FIA World Endurance Championship. Indeed Jota Sport is now Jota 'Group' and comprises a specialist racing division, design and engineering division, historic and private client division and even a private airline.

Case Study 2: The Drivers Club
While at Jota Group, Sam also founded The Drivers Club, a five-star private driver training service, aimed at ambitious amatuer drivers looking for a premium, highly tailored experience. Hailed by Motorsport magazine as "the next level in driver training", The Drivers Club raised the bar for private coaching services in the industry and helped numerous clients surpass even their own ambitions.

Case study 3: CKL Historic Cars & Racing
Based near Hastings in East Sussex, CKL is one of the world's leading restorers of classic Jaguars, and highly established on the historic scene. Having raced CKL prepared cars as part of his coaching duties for company owner Stefan Ziegler, Sam was well placed to offer opinion as to the team's strengths and weaknesses. Commissioned formally by Ziegler to consult on CKL's racing division in 2013, Sam has helped reorganise, restructure and reinvigorate the team, blending modern motorsport practices with CKL's much valued family atmosphere and sympathetic approach to the preparation of highly original cars. Additionally Sam was commissioned with the extremely important task of finding a successor to founder Chris Keith-Lucas, a new Workshop Manager and full time truckie, all of which have been successfully accomplished. Broadening his scope further Sam is also providing online marketing assistance with the design and creation of new web pages and email newsletters as well as facilitating sales of classic cars.

So whatever your goal or project, if you feel Sam can be of help, please don't hesitate to get in touch.
